Mike Schmidt is a military veteran from Brooklyn, NY with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from School of Visual Arts, NY. Mike attended the Eddie Adams Workshop for its 25th anniversary. Since then his work on the Staten Island Ferry debuted with an interview and publication on CNN. He has been recognized by PDN as a photo annual winner several years in a row and has been awarded as the Sony emerging Photographer of the Year.
